Net a Fish Bosses

Checked

Three boss-shaped things exist in Net a Fish, and only one of them has published numbers. The official listing says you survive the Megalodon and catch the Kraken. The Boss Hunter pass adds a third, the Hollow King, along with the only concrete figures the game gives for any of them. Health, spawn conditions and drop tables are not published anywhere we could check.

What is confirmed

Boss Confirmed facts Source
Megalodon You are meant to survive it, not catch it Official listing
Kraken You are meant to catch it; Boss Hunter raises its cash to 1.5x and adds a 50% mini kraken chance plus a 35% bonus Ocean Crate chance Official listing, Boss Hunter description
Hollow King Tied to a candy event; Boss Hunter gives 1.5x candy and a 50% Haunted chance Boss Hunter description

The wording difference between "survive" and "catch" is not decoration. It is the only signal the game gives that the Megalodon is an event you live through and the Kraken is an entity you land.

Kraken

The Kraken is the boss with numbers attached, because Boss Hunter has to justify itself. Its text promises three separate Kraken effects:

  • 1.5x cash from Kraken rewards.
  • A 50% chance of a mini kraken.
  • A 35% chance of a bonus Ocean Crate.

Read together, that describes a repeatable encounter with a normal reward, a small variant, and a crate drop. If you are farming the Kraken without Boss Hunter, you are farming the base version of all three.

Kraken also shows up as a code string in the 3 Nov guide video, alongside SPOOKY, which suggests the boss was part of a themed update. We could not verify the code itself.

Megalodon

"Megalodon" is the single most contested word in this game's search results: Google returns the Fisch wiki and palaeontology pages ahead of anything about this game. That is a naming collision, not a signal about difficulty.

What we know is thin and should stay thin: the listing asks you to survive it, and a YouTube short titled "Update 1 Lands Saturday With Chaos in the River" is the only other reference we found. Anything about its health, its attack, or how to trigger it would be invented.

Hollow King and the Haunted mutation

The Hollow King only appears in the Boss Hunter description, where it is paired with candy and a Haunted chance. Two readings are consistent with the text and we cannot choose between them from the description alone:

  1. The Hollow King is a seasonal event boss that drops candy, and Boss Hunter raises both the candy and the chance of a Haunted mutation on your fish.
  2. The Hollow King is a permanent boss whose rewards are candy-shaped during the event window.

Both readings agree on the practical part: Boss Hunter is the pass that turns the encounter into better loot, and Haunted is a mutation that sits on top of a fish's rarity, not a separate fish.

Where to read the real value

Because no drop table is published, the honest way to value a boss is to watch your own payout across two attempts: one without Boss Hunter and one with it. The pass text gives you the multiplier to check against (1.5x cash, 35% crate), so you can tell within a couple of attempts whether the pass is doing what it says.

What stays unknown

  • Spawn conditions for all three bosses.
  • Health, damage and whether they can be failed.
  • Drop tables and drop rates beyond the three Boss Hunter lines.
  • Whether bosses repeat on a timer or need a trigger item.

We will fill this in when a recorded boss fight with visible numbers exists. Until then, treat an exact health value as unconfirmed.
